my son and i hurried to robinson's galleria last saturday to get free comic books!
highlights of our day:
1. amos won a variant cover Titans no. 1 (from the raffle)
2. an instant Topak Magazine reunion (Topak Magazine still available at NBS and Bestsellers bookstores) Randy, Jonas and even Ron Tan (who was at least 15 people away from our place in the line), and of course, Mr. Gerry Alanguilan too.
3. there was this comic dude in line who updated us with the Marvel Universe for the past few years/months. i think his name is Naz, anyway thanks dude!
4. met Gerry Alanguilan again... he's really nice
5. we didn't get those exclusive free comic book day comic books but we were able to bring home 10 comic books (each) old school and new... my favorite grabs: the new Cable series no. 1, The Fallen Son:Iron Man, and of course Graphic Classics featuring Gerry's work on Edgar Allan Poe's The Black Cat
6. was able to get a copy of Budjette Tan's Trese, what a masterpiece!
7. saw Leinel Francis Yu... yup just saw him, wasn't able to ask for an autograph or something
8. last but not least, was able to bond with my 15 year old son...
all in all, even though we waited for an eternity in that line... it was great!!!!
