The KOMIKON organizers (most of all Syeri and Lei) were the sweetest and were very professional! Even though Manix Abrera had the longest line again of fans and readers (congrats Manix), did you ever notice almost everyone (even the 6-year-old in front of our table) was holding or reading Kubori Kikiam's 3rd book? I salute you Micheal! No jologs cosplayers (am I too harsh?). I love cosplayers, I began to appreciate them during this year's MCC. I just don't love those other guys who do cosplay ridiculously. Speaking of cosplay... Estrella (created by Jeri Barrios) was there! Ms. Marife, who was Jeri's muse for his Estrella comics attended the event. We met her and she was so lovely. Sulyap is the MAN! Collecting the best indie comics during the early days of KOMIKON. And because of this, indie comics flourished! There was a lot of Indie komiks sold during the con, even people from Cebu. Harvey Tolibao was there.. and he was the nicest Marvel comics dude I have ever met. My son and I saw him posing funny with fans on stage. My son said he is the “Manny Pacquiao of Pinoy Komiks.” With the release of CoRe Studios Mega Woman (created by Ernest Caritativo), I suddenly realized, there are still a lot of Sharonians! A cute girl was walking in front of our table, and when she saw the comics, she shouted... “SI SHARON ITO AH!” Ernest even got interviewed by AstigTV! What a great way to start this comicbook series and comics career! Comic Odyssey got old school comic books! Man, I got reprints of Hulk 1, Superman vs. Spiderman and a complete Sin City: A dame to die for singles! BOINK! WAS A SUCCESS! (And even No Parking take 2!) I tell you, even I was surprised with our sale... and the buyers! Some of them would say... “UY SI MATSUTSU!!!” Mr. Roni Santiago, you still got it! And to my fellow artists and creators of BOINK!, MARAMING MARAMING SALAMAT SA INYO! And to end the day... a nice and quiet dinner with my very good friends in the comics business. I appreciated the company guys! (oh... to finally finally end the day... my son got excited when we went home from Starmall, we rode with Manix Abrera and Spiderman! No kidding)
